Silence your phone

Catechumens can stop its own sound. It cannot switch your phone to silent or check whether it is muted.

iPhone: open Control Center → Focus → Do Not Disturb. Enable Silent mode and lower media volume.

Android: swipe down to Quick Settings → Do Not Disturb (or Modes). Lower media volume.

Check allowed callers, alarms and vibration. Choose a duration that covers Mass, then restore your settings afterwards.

Sources and editions

These are reading aids for the faithful. The celebrant may use a local proper, optional memorial, vigil, wedding or funeral selection that differs from the displayed day. For the Office, follow the publisher’s proper and first Vespers when applicable. A country alone does not determine every local observance.

Universalis supplies English Mass readings with the selected Roman calendar. Its web Office translations are not used in this integration. iBreviary supplies the Missal, Lectionary and Hours with publisher-attributed liturgical texts; its English lectionary is the U.S. edition. We do not confer ecclesiastical approval or assert that every edition is suitable in every jurisdiction.
